Kennedy Chapel Cemetery Memorial Foundation
A quiet place, not forgotten
Nestled in the hills of Northeast Mississippi, the Kennedy Chapel and Cemetery remains a place of remembrance, heritage, and quiet reflection.
Since 1856, it has been the final resting place for the Kennedy family and those they love.
Come sit awhile
A legacy that continues
Undeterred by hardship and suffering, they led the way for the generations who followed.
These ancestors created a rich heritage. One that lives on through their descendants, their stories, and the land they once called home.
What remains here is more than a cemetery.
It is a record.
A connection.
A place where memory is kept alive.
In many cases, this may be the only record we have of who is buried here.
Why this site exists
This space was created so that families, descendants, and visitors can:

This land, first established through 640 acres granted to Maxfield Kennedy in 1845 by John Tyler, has been cared for across generations.
Today, its preservation depends on continued stewardship.
